Day 15

We started our day skyping with my wonderful in-laws, Jaxson's Amma and Grandpa. During breakfast, Lisa texted to see if we wanted to meet for lunch. She has been teaching at my school for awhile, a veteran teacher with lots of wisdom to share and also a local to KL. She has lived here for over twenty years. She is so knowledgeable in both the school and community realm I feel very lucky to be on a team with her. She met us at the house and we all rode together to the Carreforre.

Carreforre is a one stop shop with anything you could ever need; equivalent to the size of three wal-marts all put together. It is a wondrous and glorious place and we can’t wait to go there for all our household items!

 They have live seafood...

Sushi galore...

Bakery...

Small gardening area...

After walking through Carreforre, we headed to Wangsa Walk to eat lunch at TGI Fridays with Lisa. I was able to ask her all about Grade 1 and some of the expectations for next year. After lunch, we headed back home.  There Jaxson took a short nap while he found a place to watch free movies online. We were able to start Mirror Mirror with Julia Roberts. At some point during the afternoon, we received word that the landlords did not want to agree to our requests for the unit.  This included not servicing the aircons or fixing the existing water heaters that are not providing hot water.  So, we are possibly back to square one since they are so unwilling to work with us.  We'll keep you posted...

While Keith marinated chicken and got dinner ready, Jaxson and I headed to the Sering Ukay playground.

We enjoyed marinated chicken breasts, sauteed squash and zucchini and homemade chips and salsa; a delicious and healthy meal. After dinner, Jaxson and Lori fed Jemma.

After Jaxson's bedtime routine, we were able to finish the movie and Lori taught us how to play a dice game called, Farkle!

Until tomorrow...
